Construction works on Makartplatz – How to reach Hotel Bristol Salzburg

Since September 2026, extensive infrastructure works have been underway around Makartplatz. The construction is expected to continue in several phases until summer 2029. Traffic routes may change during this period.

Our Hotel Bristol Salzburg remains accessible by car. Guests are permitted to reach the hotel via Mirabellplatz and Dreifaltigkeitsgasse, even though this route was previously subject to a traffic restriction. Please follow the local diversion signs - the route to the hotel is marked with orange arrows.

Important: It is not possible to turn directly from Schwarzstraße onto Makartplatz. It will probably also take some time before all major navigation systems have incorporated these changes into their software.

Therefore please make sure to approach the hotel via Mirabellplatz → Dreifaltigkeitsgasse → Makartplatz.

The hotel and surrounding buildings remain accessible. Please follow the current traffic signs on site, as traffic arrangements may change throughout the construction period.
